The first thing you need is a cooler. Fill it with beer, water, soda, or whatever else you like to drink. Don’t forget to bring: flip-flops, sunscreen, a towel, a good book, sunglasses, chewing tobacco, a frisbee, a football and a swimsuit and you’re all set. My favorite beaches are ocean beaches but lakes are not bad at all either. Plan on going to the beach from about noon until 4-5pm. Eat a decent lunch before you go so you don’t pass out from the heat!

I also like to do a spot of carp fishing in the tributary rivers near the beach.  I bring my carp fishing rod and carp fishing tackle and often catch us a bit of lunch while enjoying the pleasant scenery.

Also, don’t forget to keep hydrating with water. And if you are drinking alcohol, hydration is even more important on a hot day. You should drink just as much water as booze if not more. I like to play catch and work up a big sweat before I go in the water, it makes it that much more enjoyable. Remember to keep applying sunscreen, you will end up having even more color that it appears so don’t worry about being tan, worry about not being sunburned because that can ruin your whole week! Last but not least, it always a good idea to go to the beach accompanied by attractive women! So here’s a little something to get you started, now you ad-lib the rest. Have fun!
