Who Bought Gun Manufacturers?
December 30, 2011 6:04 am Recreation and SportsThere is an interesting company that seems to be purchasing a number of gun manufacturers, but nobody seems to know anything about this company other than it’s called the Freedom Group and it now owns the companies that make Remington and Bushmaster firearms. A number of companies that also make military style semiautomatic guns are also owned by this group and companies that make various types of accessories such as Patternmaster chokes have to realign their projects to match this mystery company’s new releases.
Even within groups and gun fans nobody seems to know that much about the company and it has already been the subject of a number of speculations and conspiracy theories as to just what the Freedom Group is up to. The number of companies that have been purchased by the Group has ensured that the company is now able to sell an amazing amount of firearms and is able to do so in numbers greater than any other gun manufacturer.
From March 2009 to one year later the company apparently sold over a million long guns and over two and a half million rounds of ammunition. The headquarters of the company is apparently in Manhattan which meant that the headquarters changed for Bushmaster, which was once located in Maine. The next major purchase of the company was that of Remington, which was based in upstate New York. In addition to those two major purchases, the company also got a hold of Marlin Firearms and Dakota arms, which is a company that makes high end rifles for big game hunting.
