What to Look For in Golf Irons

8:08 pm Recreation and Sports

The game of golf is a great sport for almost any age to try.  There is something about bettering yourself in skill level that is unmatched.  Golf is a game that includes the clubs we know as woods, irons, a putter and more recently hybrids.  The woods and irons both got their names because of what they were made from in the beginning of the game.  There have been modifications, so woods are no longer made out of wood and irons are actually made out of steel now.  Trying for to find a perfect set of clubs that fits your playing type can be hard to do, but there are web sites that actually have Golf Iron Reviews.

We have all heard the names of different clubs as we watch the commercials and see the P.G.A., but what clubs are really the best fit for me?  There are expensive end clubs like Calloways, Ping and Nike and there are more affordable ones like Wilson, and the Golden Bear.  These are just a few of the many brands that are out there.  Reading golf iron reviews let you know what other players are saying about certain brands and prices.  You can find people that play at the same level. They can tell you if the investment is worth the price and if it will really help your game that much.

Irons come in different groups types.  When you typically buy a set of irons they will start with a 3, work their way down to a 9 and then a pitching wedge is thrown in.  There are other sets that start at 4, work their way down to a 9, throw in a pitching wedge and add a sand wedge.  The lower the number on the club the further the distance is suppose to be, so a 3 iron is suppose to go a lot further than a 9 iron.  The advantage of a 9 iron is better loft and control.  A golf iron review can let you know what clubs are best from the top to the bottom.

A golf iron review will also take into consideration the way you strike a ball because some clubs are more forgiving than others.  The more forgiving ones will not give you as much control, but will get you where you need to be if you miss hit.
